Galaxy Nexus to become mobile games console
Google has just announced that Ice Cream Sandwich will support USB game controller input and HDMI output.
The sharp-eyed gents over at Phandroid spotted a Tweet from Google confirming that Android 4.0 – like its predecessor Honeycomb – will support console controllers.
This means you can feed out to your big TV and effectively use your phone – the Galaxy Nexus, say – as a gaming console.
We remember packing up a Mega Drive, controller, games and more cables than Akira could handle, just to go play at a mate's house – how times have changed.
